Description

33kV dead end insulators play two fundamental roles in overhead transmission lines, one is supporting wires, and the other one is preventing current from returning to the ground. These two roles must be guaranteed, dead-end suspension insulators should not fail due to various electromechanical stresses caused by changes in environmental and electrical load conditions.

 

Product Feature

  1. Housing material is high-quality silicone rubber with the characteristic of waterproof and UV resistance.
  2. 3 mm thick high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber sheds improve the mechanical characteristics of the system while reducing the electric field strength of the FRP rod.
  3. Big creepage distance for optimum contamination performance.
  4. The core will be an epoxy fiberglass core, which has good performance on fracture resistance, high-temperature resistance, and stress corrosion resistance.
  5. The end metal fitting is crimped to the fiberglass core instead of silicone housing, to reach the maximum mechanical load.

 

Packing

Several different grades of packaging are available depending on the mode of transport and expected storage conditions. Special packaging arrangements are available upon user request.

Application

Polymer dead end insulators are widely used in transmission lines, substations, power equipment and other fields. In transmission lines, composite rod-shaped suspension insulators can be used in power towers, cable suspension wires and other locations to support wires and insulate. In substations and power equipment, composite rod suspension insulators can be used on equipment such as isolation switches, circuit breakers, and cable terminals to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
